Engineer III

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for design and support of pressure control products in accordance with API/ASME/NACE Standards
  • Support includes:
  • Interfacing with Manufacturing to resolve ECR, NCR, ECO and DRA issues
    • Using Sales & Marketing input to generate design documentation changes per sales orders from customers
    • Performing required testing and reporting on improvements to existing products

Sr. Engineer

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for design and support of new products supporting the Pressure Control business line, specifically subsea pumping products
  • Development of mechanical, structural, and hydraulic equipment

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in either Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • 10 years experience in process control software development Working knowledge of the complete software development lifecycle
  • 5+ years experience in writing ANSI \'C\' code on UNIX platforms
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to customer offshore drilling platforms

Lead Engineer, Analysis

Position: ENG092

Location:

Job Duties:
  • Perform FEA analysis (and improvement recommendations) on components and assemblies
  • Perform thermal analysis (and improvement recommendations) on design and assemblies including control system skids
  • Perform elastomeric packer analysis to simulate and determine closure pressures, cycle life, drift characteristics, CSO capabilities, etc
  • Perform hydraulic analysis of Control’s hydraulic systems
  • Recommend material changes/improvements to Product Engineer based on material stress analysis and application
  • Provide Product Engineering recommendations concerning item geometry based on material stress analysis and application
  • Aid in the design review process for new products and rationalized existing products
  • Chose the software systems for analysis that will provide Hydril the best analysis
  • Assist Product Engineering in the use of PC stress analysis software
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 year college degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or equal
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • 10 yrs working in Analysis or equal
Desirable:
  • Working knowledge of API 16A, ASME, Sect VIII and AISC RP2A along with experience using Abaqus and Ansys
